Ok, so i'm not going to be updating vox anymore. I'm going back to posting at my LJ. If you want to continue reading me (and you're not on my lj friends list already) just message me and i'll send you my account name.
BYE.
So my 27th birthday is coming up on the nineteenth and I didn't have a clue on what I wanted to do for it. I figured everyone would get together and go out to eat then maybe hitting the club later on that night for some dancing. It's what we did last year. However I found myself wanting to do something different. I mean, I still want to do that with my friends but I also want to do something else with Joseph separately.
One of the photographer's for my wedding that i'm considering has a blog which I read. She updates with sneak peeks of sessions she's done with engaged couples, weddings, pregnancy shots, children, family, and senior portraits. She's also involved with the theater in town and she put in a plug for the latest production which happens to be The Producers. I would love to get dressed up, be taken out to eat, and then go to the theater!
I'm excited about it.. only thing is i'm looking at the 16th and 17th's eight o'clock performance and I can't really buy tickets in advanced until I get Joseph's work schedule which he himself won't know until the Monday before. So here's to hoping we get tickets and in decent seats!
I can officially jump for joy and shout "I'm done with the Spring Semester!" I went up to campus today to take my final and brought along my book to return. Unfortunately they lady told me they stopped buying these books earlier in the day. I was so pissed off about that. Now what the hell am I going to do with this book? I wanted to just rip it up right in front of her and walk out! I know it's not her fault but I wanted some of my money back for that EXPENSIVE book that will now go to waste.
So anyway, after taking my final (which I think I did really well on) I decided to take some photos for the day.
I need to set up a list of thing's to do and make sure I don't put it off.
1. Re-schedule Dr. Appointment I failed to show up to on Monday.
2. Call Financial Aid at the University and check if i'm a go for Summer School.
3. Call to schedule an appointment with photographer #2 for my wedding.
4. Join Curves.
5. Call parish wedding planner to get the ball rolling.
6. Call church about Joseph not being able to get a hold of his baptism records.
7. Call to get quotes for car insurance for myself.
Busy Busy!
It was supposed to rain today and I was pretty disappointed when nothing happened. Where is my rain? I absolutely love rainstorms. Love the sound, love the smell. It's so soothing.
OK! 365 day time!! This was yesterday's..
And this is today's..
Right now i'm doing Joseph's laundry so he'll have work clothes for tomorrow. He's at Wal-Mart picking up a few things and a case of water for me. I go through water so easily nowadays. A case of 12 usually lasts me a week to a week and a half and what's bad is that I tend to drink a bottle or two in the evening when i'm online messing around. This means that my bladder wakes me up in the middle of the night to go and pee.
Today is Cinco de Mayo and I didn't do anything exceptional to celebrate it except eat left over menudo & rice. Yum!
Does it make sense that you wake up early at eight am when you went to bed at four? No it does not and i'm wide awake too. How strange.
Well last night was a girls night out. Sarah, Elizabeth, and Juanita and I started the night off at Whiskey River because we heard they play some good tejano music but as it turns out that's usually on Friday nights. We had a couple of cheap drinks anyways and then decided to head downtown about midnight to club Le Chateau.
At first I felt kind of uneasy about going out without Joseph. Since we've been together I really haven't because i've always had him come out with me. Once out the weird feelings went away and I had a really good time dancing with my girls.
or so i hear.
I'm trying out Vox once again to see how I like it. I do have a regular LJ but I haven't been updated there like I used to. Do people miss me rambling about my life? Probably not, but everything just feels off to me now over there. So it's time for a fresh start!
What I liked about yesterday was that I was able to go on a field trip with my kids from work. We went to a local nature center and the kids learned a bit about creepy crawlies. Jeremiah, the guy who was putting on le presentation, showed us a hissing Madagascan cockroach and a tarantula. The kids gave it mixed reviews. Some were very interested and excited to see one up close and some were freaked out and started crying. Mind you I work with little five and six year old children and had to reassure them that everything was okay and that nothing was going to harm them.
This photo was as close as I was getting to that tarantula. This photo is also apart of my 365 days project.
In the shoe department of Dillard's I found some Croc mary jane alice shoes and some super comfortable Reef sandals. The teacher I work with always has the most comfortable looking shoes and being that i'm on my feet with kids all day I really do need more comfortable shoes. When I found these I had to buy them and they ARE comfortable and cuter looking than regular Crocs which I would not own.
While out we stopped at a few other places. I ended up picking out two nice shirts for Joseph, my fiancé, and a pair of nice dark blue slacks. When I presented it to him he wished I hadn't spent money on him as it IS my birthday soon and he should be spending on me.. but I couldn't help myself. I like him to look nice and it's not like it was a big splurge. I like to do nice thing's for my man.
Anyhow we did the usual.. watch CSI episodes on cable, went out to eat, and then we came back to my place where I looked at houses online. My goal in the next two to three years is to buy our first house. I enjoy looking at pictures of houses for sale online or watching the real estate channel on TV and thinking about the future.
